8vo., First Edition [Sole Edition], with a copper-engraved frontispiece and six copper-engraved plates (one folding), the majority with original tissue guards (guards worn, light foxing on guards and some plates), neat contemporary signature on front free endpaper (repeated on title); ORIGINAL BOARDS, PAPER BACK LETTERED IN MS (lettering worn but entirely legible), uncut, backstrip worn at joints and with covering of fourth compartment (of five) frayed away, upper hinge cracked but just sound else a crisp, unusually clean copy of a very scarce work in well-preserved contemporary binding.
