The author - Rabbi Philip Goodman, was the collector of over 7,000 bookplates of Jewish interest amassed by him over a period of 20 years. The Philip Goodman Collection, valued by historians, sociologists and art historians for the biographical and genealogical material they contain, has been acquired by the library of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. 235x160mm. 88 pages (pagination: 129-216). Beige cloth Hardcover with semi-transparent foil dust-jacket. Jacket wrinkled/worn. Jacket edges tattered. Jacket spine tattered with missing edges. Cover edges and spine yellowing. Cover corners and spine edges bumped. First few pages upper corner slightly wrinkled. Author's signed dedication on front whitepage. Pages slightly yellowing.
